The Medal of Honor, Lessons in Bravery is a character development program I helped develop. Click on this video which briefly explains the program. Apps! Apps! Apps! Google has a Applcations feature on their search engine. Check it out for great educational apps. Students can download onto their Iphones or Ipads. Everything you need to know about the Internet in easy to understand, accessible language. REEP World offers Beginning, intermediate, and Advanced Levels listening excercises, technology tools, reading, grammar and writing, vocabulary, multimedia lessons, videos. Literature Unit Island of the Blue Dolphins Camp Rock Wizards of Waverly Place Prince of Syria Student-made Math Movies - These students made movies for math terms. Check them out. Really cool! Wordle, or "Word Clouds" - Wordle is a tool used to generate “word clouds” from the words you type. It's a creative way to show off your poetry or just play with words. Randall's ESL Cyber Listening - Large database of prerecorded conversations and online quizzes to follow. The BBC has great activities on their website under the Languages tab. Treasure Chest website associated with the elementary textbook has fun interactive activities. Check it out! English Language Resource Center - Grammar resources available through Bergen Community College website. Games! - This is an excellent interactive site, which teaches many English skills in a fun and engaging way. Analogies - interactive activity that teaches how to decode analogies, an often confusing topic for even native speakers Madlibs!!! (need I say more?) Scroll down to MadLibs Junior. This is a teacher's list of great websites for the different parts of speech as well as other grammar practice. Amazing Math Foldables site!!! ARRAYS!!!! Awesome interactive array activity. Great resources for parents and teachers of ELLs in grades 4 - 12. Literature and writing IU8 - Intermediate Unit 8 provides resources and services to teachers and information to help parents support their children in an academic setting. TESOL is a large professional community of educators who teach diverse speakers. There are several resources on the TESOL website and several benefits to becoming a member. http://www.tesol.org/ WIDA stands for Worldclass Instructional Design and Assessment. WIDA aims to set high standards and produce valid assessment for English Language Learners. Check out their expansive website. SAS - Standards Aligned System Describes what students should know and be able to do. It is a multifaceted effort to ensure success of students linking best practice and standards.
